The Macintosh Basics OS 9 assessment is designed to measure the assessment taker's knowledge of the Macintosh environment and the Macintosh operating system. This assessment measures knowledge of concepts related to using the Macintosh.

Test administrators can use this assessment in conjunction with Microsoft Office testing products in order to assess a user's knowledge base in regards to the Macintosh environment. The Microsoft Office products are virtually the same in the Windows and Macintosh platform.
